Whether you’ve invested a new label printing press before and it’s time to upgrade, or you’re considering purchasing a new model for the first time after normally using refurbished models, you’ll be aware that this kind of investment is a significant business decision.

Apart from the initial capital outlay, training, and installation, there are some important considerations to mull over, such as the new press’ long-term performance, its impact on productivity, and ongoing operational and maintenance costs. Investing in new technology will put you at the forefront in advances in productivity and provide long term reliability.

At[Focus Label](https://www.focuslabel.com/), our label printing presses are designed to meet the unique needs of your business and to make a decisive contribution to improving productivity in your workplace. So, if you’re planning to purchase a new printing press in 2025/26, what features should you look for?

## **Printing Solutions That Boost Productivity**

Productivity is key in the modern [label printing industry](https://blog.focuslabel.com/adapting-to-trends-in-the-label-printing-industry), so it’s important to consider how your new label printing press will impact your service delivery and cost of operation. Reducing set-up time, delivering short economically or longer print runs whilst eliminating waste will help optimise your business’ workflow. New press design technology will decrease the need to upskill your staff at a time when it’s hard to attract highly skilled personnel.

At Focus Label, our printing presses are custom-designed for special applications or to meet the demands of your business, while making the entire process as simple as possible, harnessing automation where appropriate. By incorporating advanced intelligent servo drives, our presses operate at optimum efficiency, ensuring that print cycle set-up time is minimised while achieving consistent, repeatable printing results.

## **Consistent Print Quality**

When you’re printing large volumes of labels, you need to be confident that no matter how long the print run, the output quality will be unchanged from the first label to the last. Loss of definition is a costly and time-consuming problem, with unwanted waste and lost time if repeating the process.

At Focus Label, we offer flexographic, digital & Hybrid printing solutions that deliver short to long print runs without compromising on quality. Our [flexographic printing](https://blog.focuslabel.com/why-is-demand-for-shorter-flexographic-print-runs-growing)machines use polymer printing plates that can be used indefinitely with no loss of quality or definition, and can deliver an impressive printing rate of up to 200mts per minute. The larger the print run, the cheaper the cost per unit, with perfect print quality on a variety of substrates.

Our digital & hybrid presses are perfect for small & medium print runs, being quick to set up, with only seconds required to change jobs. Like flexo printing, [digital printing](https://blog.focuslabel.com/ways-that-a-digital-printing-press-can-save-you-money) offers consistent quality so that, no matter how many labels you produce, the same high standards are assured. A[hybrid solution](https://www.focuslabel.com/digital-inkjet-hybrid-technology/)provides the best of both worlds with the quality of flexo with ability add variable data or to change jobs with virtually no waste.

## **Overall Cost-Efficiency**

While the initial cost of the label printing press is an important consideration, it’s worth investigating the printing price per unit and the cost of consumables to accurately compare different machines. These so-called hidden costs, much like the base of an iceberg below the surface of the water, are often easy to overlook, so be sure to enquire with the label printing press supplier about the ongoing costs to assess the impact on your business’ finances.

At Focus Label, we’re committed to offering you the highest quality label printing presses that [optimise output and minimise waste](https://blog.focuslabel.com/strategies-for-eco-friendly-print-industry), to deliver the most cost-effective solutions available. From initial design to training, servicing, and spare parts, our entire service is delivered centrally, with no additional costs from outsourcing to other businesses. We also supply an extensive range of consumables at wholesale price, reducing your costs in the long-term.
